Slimm sent this image of KHANATE's performance at Knitting Factory June 5th 2003.
The English group THIS HEAT has been providing a huge amount of inspiration lately. Early pre-indusurreal voices and cutup rock. Check them out, if you don't already...
These Records has a small page with a bunch of info on the band.
Great article by Gary Gomes here. He described them as such: "King Crimson meets Soft Machine with a little taste of Tony Williams' Lifetime and the sonic onslaught of the more experimental (and more interesting) "White Light., White Heat" Velvet Underground."
Somehow they relate and probably inspired groups like Die Kreuzen and Slab!, amongst others.

NYC's avant-sparce-deconstructed-jazz elementalists PSI recently performed on Columbia's WKCR radio. WKCR has a standard of archiving certain broadcasts and you have the pleasure of checking it out here.
--------------------
PSI is an electro-acoustic trio from Brooklyn. Jaime Fennelly (electronics), Chris Forsyth (electric guitar) and Fritz Welch (drums, amplified percussion) improvised two untitled pieces on the afternoon of March 29, 2003, which aired on Transfigured Night in April and Live Constructions on June 13.

here's how they promote themselves:
psi The ___ who had begun his career as a useful ___ of the ___ court later became the ___ of ___ and the ___ of ___.

initiatiating commands of implanted & caustic: Levitation caused by hidden impulses manifests itself musically by allowing time to coexist with limitless space. Clamorous clusters unimpaired by ever-present allergic reactions interbreed to eventually self-destruct within natural silences.

I have the privilege of designing the package for Attila Csihar's compilation CD on Southern Lord. Below is the first draft of the cover.
Csihar is a mystik Hungarian vocalist whom we have admired for many years. He recently contributed vocals to the track DECAY on the forthcoming WHITE2 album by SUNN O))).
